Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to wear special clothing or bring anything?

NO, come as you are in whatever you are wearing.

Some people meditate before catching the train to work, mid day, right after work, in between daily errands, after a trip to the gym.  You may choose to sit in a chair or on one of our meditation cushions. Sometimes people find loose clothing or yoga clothing more comfortable for meditation but it is not necessary.  Some meditators bring a shawl for extra warmth and comfort.

Do I have to take my shoes off?

YES, On a basic level, shoes track in dirt, making the floor unclean. By removing your shoes prior to entering the studio, it helps to provide a clean environment in which to practice.  Keeping our shoes off while in Soulspace also keeps our space sacred and quiet.

What if I’m running late?

Please try to arrive to class 10 minutes before class starts.  With meditation, we cannot allow late entry into class. Check the schedule for the next available class.

Where are you located?

We are located at 785 Washington Street, #11A in Canton, MA on the corner of Washington & Sherman streets.  You’ll find us across the street from Canton Public Library, above Kramer’s Jewelers and next to Betsy’s Barbershop entrance. We are a short 2 block walk from the Canton Center train station.

We are located on the 2nd floor, 14 steps up.  There are 2 entrances to our ample parking lot, one off of Washington Street, and one off of Sherman Street. You can also find on street parking on Washington Street.

Can I bring my kids with me?

We welcome young people that are able to sit quietly. It’s best to check in for approval with us at info@soulspacemeditation.com before bringing a child under the age of 16.

On occasion we’ll have family meditation sessions and meditation for young children under the age of 11. These sessions are posted in our workshops section.
